Last night on the subway I attempted to make a Christmas list. A little late I know, but that’s just how my family rolls. After a few minutes of thinking, I realized all I want is knowledge and skills. These are the first four things I came up with.
1. Be able to beat my ten-year-old self in Ping-Pong, Hockey, and Wiffleball. These are skills that I had as a kid, but I lost them somewhere in high-school, when I was too busy learning how to be “cool”.
2. Learn how to play Gospel Piano – I’m always playing air-keys when I listen to Gospel jams on my iPod. It’s time to learn fo real!
3. Learn Cello – A friend of mine was generous enough to give me a cello he had. I told him I’d learn it, but I haven’t gotten around to it yet.
4. Learn Spanish – Why I took German in High school, I will never know…
Man, I really wish someone could buy me these! Hopefully someday there will be a chip we can buy to put in our brain, so we don’t have to actually have to work to learn things. Then again, I guess that’s the good part about New Years coming right after Christmas. I can put all these things I want into action with my resolution list!
